Grace is a counsellor and psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy degree from the Cairnmillar Institute (2016).
For the last 6 years Grace has been working almost exclusively with those who identify as trans, gender diverse and non-binary.
She specialises in clients who are exploring their gender identity or sexuality as well as those with anxiety, depression, grief and other life issues that may or may not be connected to their identity. She has helped many individuals come out to family, friends and workplaces and she also works with partners and parents of trans and gender diverse individuals.
Grace can provide support and guidance for those questioning their gender, those wishing to commence social and medical affirmation/transition as well as those simply seeking an informed and open-minded therapist. She is sex-positive, SW-affirmative and kink-affirmative and is familiar working with people in various types of non-exclusive relationships.
Grace is familiar with the issues and challenges experienced by many neurodivergent individuals including people with autism, ADHD/ADD and Highly Sensitive People. Grace is also trained in trauma-informed care and she works to provide a safe and non-judgemental space to enable each person she sees to express themselves and their needs.
Grace is an openly transgender woman and has a deep understanding of the experiences of those with diverse identities. She works within a Person-centred / humanistic framework that allows the client to set the direction and pace of the work.
